Upon agreement to receive instruction, the director will schedule session times and begin designing a customized learning plan. As the student starts working on their plan, instructors and the director review completed lessons and determine mastery levels. Upon mastery of a skill the student advances levels. This is a very prescriptive process and over time students develop and progress to higher skill levels.
Reading students who attend the Enid Learning Academy can expect to gain up to one year grade equivalency growth in comprehension and vocabulary skills after completing only 40 hours of instruction. Math students can expect to gain up to 2 years grade equivalency growth in computation and concepts in that same amount of time.
Our student to teacher ratio is 3:1. We believe this to be the perfect ratio. One on one tutoring often leaves the student feeling the teacher is hovering.
Our teachers are knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. Each teacher is state certified with classroom experience. Most of our teachers teach in local public schools, so they are familiar with the latest teaching methods. In addition, they have been trained to use our specialized program. Your child will receive individualized attention from a competent, caring teacher.
Motivation and confidence are key factors in developing success. Our incentive program keeps students feeling good about attendance and skill improvements.
Starting with the initial assessment and continuing throughout instruction, your child will earn credits for each lesson completed. Students can then use the “motivation money” to shop at the Academy store, “Motivation Mall”. Also, your child will receive certificates for mastering concepts. However, the greatest external motivator your child will receive at our center is the support, patience, and praise given by our teachers. Our mission is to help your child achieve his or her goals, gain confidence, and maintain determination.
Your child will not be given extra homework. We realize that everyone has busy schedules and extra homework can overwhelm your already overloaded child. We can provide the parents with suggestions and tips for helping your child with their homework and for additional learning opportunities at home as requested.

Upon your request, we will set up communication with your child’s classroom teacher. This will allow us to work to identify specific skills that the child is struggling with in the classroom.
Sessions are held Monday through Thursday (3:30 PM, 4:30 PM, 5:30 PM, and 6:30 PM). Typically a student enrolls for two sessions per week, each lasting 50 minutes.
Summer sessions are held at 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM, 1:30 PM, 2:30 PM, 3:30 PM, and 4:30 PM.
